Secret Store error messages on the logger screen

Novell eDirectory 8.8 for NetWare 6.5

Situation

ERROR: "Unloading killed loadable module SSLDP.NLM"
ERROR: "Unloading killed loadable module SSS.NLM"
Installed NetWare Server with all services including Secret Store
Secret Store is not operational. Secret Store depends on four modules LSSS.NLM, SSS.NLM, SSNCP.NLM and SSLDP.NLM
Unloading any of the above NLMs results in dependency on NLDAP.NLM to be unloaded first

Resolution

To disable the error messages, rename four basic modules of Secret Store in sys:\system in the following order:

  1. LSSS.NLM
  2. SSS.NLM
  3. SSNCP.NLM
  4. SSLDP.NLM

In order to rename the above mentioned NLMs, map a drive to sys:\system of the NetWare Server and rename the above NLMs to old

e.g rename LSSS.NLM to LSSS.OLD

After renaming the NLMs, restart the server by typing “reset server” without quotes at the server system console
