Simple Bind Failed for LDAP

Unable to login to iManager or GroupWise WebAccess
iManager,GroupWise Web Access or any Web services not coming up and the webpage times out
ERROR: "simple bind failed" while running ICE Test from ConsoleOne
NLDAP, APACHE2, TOMCAT4 and TOMCAT5 restarts properly
NLDAP Listening on both secure(636) and non-secure port(389)
TOMCAT restarts properly without any errors
Dropped packets while pinging to the server
No dropped packets while pinging from the server to other machines

1. Type "INETCFG" on the server console and press Enter.
2. Highlight Boards and press Enter.
3. Select the Board in use and Press Enter.
4. Select Flow Control.
5. Change it to "Default Settings", which would change it to 0.
6. Save the settings and press Esc key to exit INETCFG.

Root Cause:
The flow control setting of the network card on the server was misconfigured to value of 3 instead of 0, the default value which stops the flow control. In short flow control was enabled when the setting is more than 1 and disabled when the value is set to 0.So when this setting was set to 0, that's when there were no packet drops and all the web-services started coming up successfully.

Notes:
Flow Control - It is a parameter that allows the user to enable or disable the receipt or transmission of PAUSE frames. PAUSE frames enable the adapter and the switch to control the transmit rate. The side that is receiving the PAUSE frame temporarily stops transmitting.
