Situation
xadsd daemon crashes as soon as smbd is started on SLES 10 SP2 member server
Resolution
Member servers are not supported with OES2 SP1. They will be supported with OES2SP2.
Until then a workaround is to add the following in the Global section of the smb.conf after joining the server to the domain as a member server.
client use spnego = No
Once the server is joined to the domain start smbd
