Installing ZENworks Linux Management Agent on a device that has ZENworks Configuration Management Primary Server installed

Installing ZENworks 7.2 Linux Management agent on the same device on which ZENworks Configuration Management Primary Server is installed breaks the Mono related functionalities on both the ZENworks 7.2 Linux Management agent and the ZENworks Configuration Management Server. This is because the ZENworks Linux Management agent and the ZENworks Configuration Management Server use different versions of Mono, but the Mono runtime used by them are delivered to the same location. Therefore, it does not allow the co-existence of both the products on the same device.

Install ZENworks 7.3 Linux Management agent or later on the device that has ZENworks Configuration Management Primary Server installed.

The ZENworks 7.3 Linux Management Agent or later is bundled with its own Mono package and therefore does not conflict with the default Mono used by ZenAgent that is shipped with the ZENworks Configuration Management Server. This also does not affect the Package Management functionality of the ZENworks Linux Management Agent on the ZENworks Configuration Management Server .

Note: You can disable the ZENworks Linux Management Imaging functionality by using the zlm-install -i option during the ZENworks 7.3 Linux Management agent installation.
