Situation

This document explains how to use mosconfigprobe tool for gathering NOC related log data.

Resolution

Steps/Instructions for NOC/Dashboard/CMS:
NOC:
Here is an example for running mosconfigprobe:
Replace ~NOC with your base NOC dir - eg C:\NovellOperationsCenter\NOC
1) cd ~NOC/bin
2) ./mosconfigprobe
For windows: eg: mosconfigprobe
- output when run will look something like this:
D:\NovellOperationsCenter\NOC\bin>mosconfigprobe
Starting probe, version 1.5.
Probe complete, took 6 second(s), output in D:\NovellOperationsCenter\NOC\bin\probe.1355964053422.zip.

Dashboard:
Here is an example for running mymoprobe:
Replace ~Dashboard with your base Dashboard dir - eg C:\NovellOperationsCenter\Dashboard
1) cd ~Dashboard/bin
2) ./mymoprobe
For windows: eg: mymoprobe
- output when run will look something like this:
C:\NovellOperationsCenter\Dashboard\bin>mymoprobe.bat
Starting probe, version 1.1.
Wrote probe file, C:\NovellOperationsCenter\Dashboard\dashboardprobe.1355967133899.zip.

CMS:
Here is an example for running cmsprobe:
Replace ~CMS with your base CMS dir - eg C:\NovellOperationsCenter\CMS
1) cd ~CMS/bin
2) ./cmsprobe
For windows: eg: cmsprobe
- output when run will look something like this:
D:\NovellOperationsCenter\CMS\bin>cmsprobe
Starting probe, version 1.1.
