Unable to uninstall the client after installing using GWTuner

Situation

Unable to uninstall the GroupWise client after installing using gwtuner
Unable to uninstall the GroupWise client that has been installed using the MST file created by gwtuner
Unable to uninstall the GroupWise client using "Add or Remove Programs" in Control Panel
ERROR: "The DLL being called encountered a problem." while trying to uninstall the GroupWise Client

Workaround Steps:
  1. Click Start | Settings | Control Panel | Add or Remove Programs.
  2. Highlight GroupWise.
  3. Click Change.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Select Remove and click Next.
  6. Click Remove.

Additional Information

Steps to Duplicate:
  1. Load GWTuner from Software Distribution Directory\Admin\Utility\GWTuner .
  2. Proceed ahead by keeping the defaults and it should create a groupwise.mst file in the Software Distribution Directory\Client\Win32 .
  3. From the command prompt, type "MSIEXEC transforms=SoftwareDistributionDirectory\Client\Win32\groupwise.mst /i SoftwareDistributionDirectory\Client\Win32\groupwise.msi ".
  4. Complete the install and click Finish.
  5. Click Start | Settings | Control Panel | Add or Remove Programs.
  6. Highlight GroupWise and click Remove. It gives error "The DLL being called encountered a problem" or it acts as if it is removing but does not remove.
