Situation
ZCM 11.2 ZCC shows "Patch Management" in ZCC, even when it's not active
Resolution
This is deliberate, it is not supposed to be hidden, and there is no mechanism to do so. The intention of this feature is to allow "Free Patch Assessment": even though ZPM is not licensed, it should be
possible to enable Patch Management and have the Discover Applicable
Updates bundles created. Downloading patches and deploying remediation
does require a subscription, but it should be possible to discover which
devices require patching, even without a ZPM license. This is covered in the documentation under ZCM Only State as part of ZENworks 11 SP2 Patch Management Reference
To make this work: ZCM must be licensed, and Patch Management must be active. Then the Subscription Service can be started - see Starting the Subscription Service, part of Patch Management in the ZENworks 11 SP2 Administration Quick Start guide
If Patch Management is not active, it must be activated: if Patch Management was deactivated at the time the Zone was installed, then it can simply be activated from the link in Configuration > Product Licensing. If, however, Patch Management was activated at the time of install, and the trial period has expired, it will be necessary to obtain a new evaluation serial number - see Activating Patch Management, part of Patch Management in the ZENworks 11 SP2 Administration Quick Start guide
