Invalid credentials when installing DSFW server

Environment

Novell Open Enterprise Server 2 (OES 2 SP1) Linux
OES2 SP1
Domain Services for Windows 1.0
DSFW 1.0

Situation

Installing First DSFW domain server into the tree
The install fails with error 669 failed authentication

The admin password has a $ character

ndsdcinit.log is as follows:

Resolution

This has been reported to developement
The work around is to change the admin password or if policy forbids that, a new  user with admin equivalent  rights can be created with a simple password.
