How to enable a full crash dump for the GroupWise client on Windows.

Situation

Development has added the an environment variable for the GroupWise 8.0.0 Hot Patch 2 client. Newer clients also have this functionality. This allows the GroupWise client to write a full memory dump.

See KB 7002327 for information on where the GRPWISE.DMP file can be found after the crash has occurred.

Resolution

To enable the full memory dump for the GroupWise Windows client do the following:

1) Enter the properties of my computer and select the advanced tab.

2) Click on the "Environment Variables" button.

3) Under System variables click New.

4) Add the Variable name of "GROUPWISE_MINIDUMP" and a Variable value of "FullMemory".
