Situation

Saved attachment loses file extension
Unable to save attachment with a file extension

Resolution

Reported to Engineering
 
Workaround:
 
1. Open windows explorer and click "Tools" from the menu bar
2. Click on Folder option 
3. Click on "View" Tab and uncheck "Hide extensions for known file type"
4. Click "Apply" and then "OK"

Additional Information

Steps to Duplicate:

1. Login into Groupwise Client and open an email with attachment.
2. Right-click attached file in the opened email attachment window and click "Save as".
3. Specify the path in "File name" to save the attachment. For example c:\novell\gw
4. Browse to the location as specified in "Step 3" and the attachment is saved without any file extension
