Error, "No Such Device" Returned When Running NSSSCAN

Novell Open Enterprise Server 2 (OES 2) Linux

Situation

When running 'NSSSCAN' inadvertently from within the NSS volumes directory (even though the pool has been placed into Maintenance mode), the error, "No Such Device" is reported.

Resolution

The error is erroneous because it's not the device that's missing, but the fact that the directory is open. 'NSSSCAN' tries to create its log file in the CWD which is not valid since the pool is in maintenance state.

Change into another directory and rerun 'NSSSCAN'.
