Rights needed for access to Novell Remote Manager

If all you want is access to access the overall server health and their files, you don't need anything special. You can do some managing through a role. The options are:

 

regular non admin user -- This user will only be able to see the volumes in NRM. The user will not be able to manage the server.

admin user

sadmin user.

 

The sadmin user can manage all of the server issues but does not have access to the file system. The sadmin user account is specific to the server. Enabling and setting the sadmin password is done on the config page in NRM. Someone with admin rights would need to be logged in to the NRM server to set that password.

A non admin user would have rights to see the volumes. If this user is made an admin equivalent, then the user will see all options in NRM.
