Duplicate volume IDs when using the "/opt=" option in a cluster load script

Environment

Novell Open Enterprise Server (Linux based)
Novell Open Enterprise Server 2 (OES 2)
Novell Cluster Services 1.8.4

Situation

If the "/opt=" option is being used in any cluster load scripts for the ncpcon mount line, for example "exit_on_error ncpcon mount /opt=ns=long DATA=254", and then creating a new cluster resource, the existing volume IDs will be ignored which will result in duplicate volume IDs. In the above example, the next new resource will be created also using volume ID 254.

Resolution

This has been resolved and a fix for the problem was released to the update channel at the end of July 2009.
