"Manage NCP Services" is missing in Novell Remote Manager

Novell Open Workgroup Suite Small Business Edition (NOWS SBE)
Novell Open Enterprise Server (Linux based)

Situation

"Manage NCP Services" is missing in Novell Remote Manager
Unable to manage NCP volumes on OES Linux servers using Novell Remote Manager

Resolution

  1. Verify that file "libnrm2ncp.so" does exist in the folder /opt/novell/lib
  2. Login to Novell Remote Manager as Admin using the link http://<IP_Address>:8008
  3. Click on the button "Configure" and then click on the link "Edit httpstkd config file"Look for the line
  4. "load /opt/novell/lib/libnrm.so" and add the line "load /opt/novell/lib/libnrm2ncp.so" just below it
  5. Click on the button "Save Changes" and then logout from Novell Remote Manager
  6. Stop and restart the daemon Httpstkd as follows: /etc/init.d/novell-httpstkd restart
  7. Login to Novell Remote Manager and check again
