Run the ConsoleOne with same non-root user specified in the uid.conf file located in /etc/opt/novell/groupwise/agents directory. ConsoleOne 1.3.6f or later versions can be run as a non-root user.
Run the Agents with root user privilege. To run the GroupWise agents with root user privilege, delete the uid.conf file located in /etc/opt/novell/groupwise/agents directory and delete the file from the domain, post office and GWIA directory serviced by the agent. Restart the agents.

Additional Information

If ConsoleOne is running as root user, the admin changes will not take effect as it creates admin messages with root privilege and agent will not be able to access those admin messages as its configured to run with non-root user privilege.
