Situation
ERROR: "SSL initialization failure [0x891D]
Starting the Linux Messenger Archive Agent responds with: "Starting Novell Messenger AA: Failed, see /var/opt/novell/log/messenger/nmaa.err for details." and the agent does not load.
Opening the nmaa.err file contains:
NMAA: SSL initialization failure [0x891D]
NMAA: Cause: Bad private key or password
Resolution
1. Launch ConsoleOne.
2. Right click on the Messenger ArchiveAgent object and select Properties.
4. Click the Agent tab and select Security.
5. Click on Set Password and specify the password that was entered while creating the private key.
6. Click Apply and Close.
Additional Information
The same situation can occur on the Messenger Messaging Agent. The resolution is the same.
