Can't browse to images directory on primary server

Environment

Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management with Support Pack 1 - 10.1 Imaging

Situation

Using ZCC to select an imaging server and browse the imaging file system (example, check Device | Action | Take an image | Server and File Path: | Server Object, IP, or DNS | Directory Path on Server ), an error occurs:
 
ERROR (on ZCC console): "Can't browse the file system on the specified server:
com.novell.zenworks.datamodel.exceptions.InternalDataModelException: java.lang.RuntimeException: java.io.IOException: bad content type = text/html;charset=UTF-8; Received Content:"
 
A test of this url from another browser instance returns 404 or file listing:  https://zenserver/zenworks-filebrowsingservice/

Resolution

Check the contents of:
 
%zenworks_home%/share/tomcat/webapps/zenworks-filebrowsingservice/*  
 
If this directory is empty, check for the presence of:
 
%zenworks_home%/share/tomcat/webapps/zenworks-filebrowsingservice.war
 
If the war file exists, stop the ZENworks server and monitor services.  Rename %zenworks_home%/share/tomcat/webapps/zenworks-filebrowsingservice directory and restart the ZENworks server and monitor services.  The directory should be recreated with content when tomcat restarts.
