Group Policies migrated from ZDM 7 to ZCM 10 giving errors

Environment

Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management with Support Pack 1 - 10.1 Policies

Situation

Two Group Policies were migrated from ZDM 7 and errors started immediately. The same errors show up if the policy assigned to a new device. Same errors are also seen, if policy is created from scratch.

Group Policy related errors keep showing up on devices on ZCC even though the Group policy seems to be applied on devices.  The errors are:
  1. "The action grouppolicy (ID:grouppolicy) failed, but the action set is set to continue on failure"
  2. "There was an error while unenforcing group policy settings"
  3. "There was an error while accessing content for policy Administrator user Package_Windows XP_Windows Group Policy.  The error was - Patch for the group policy content is null"

Resolution

This is fixed in version 10.1.1 - see KB 7001406 "ZENworks 10 Configuration Management 10.1.1" which can be found athttps://www.novell.com/support
