Environment

Novell Access Manager 3.1 Access Administration running on Windows 2003 server
Novell Identity Server running on Windows 2003 server
Problem also exists on Linux versions of Access Manager Admin Console and Identity Server
WIndows 2003 server patched to Support Pack 2 level
Administration workstation running IE7 or Firefox 2/3.x

Situation

Access Manager 3.1 installed and configured with an Administration Server, Identity Server and Linux Access Gateway. Some LDAP errors are being reported for a user store in the Identity Server healthcheck, and advanced logging was enabled. In order to do this, administrator navigated to Access Manager >Edit >General >Logging and enabled file logging. After applying the changes and generate the logs, the Administrator logged into the Admin Console and opened the xml log file located at C:\ProgramFiles\Novell\Tomcat\webapps\nidp \WEB-INF\logs to verify the results.

Opening NIDP.xml log file from the Auditing -> General Logging tab in the Admin COnsole UI reports the following:

1) Error on IE 7 Browser:
The XML page cannot be displayed.
Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button,or try again later.

2) Error on Mozilla Firefox Browser:
XML Parsing Error: junk after document element.
 Location: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Novell/Tomcat/webapps/nidp/WEB-INF/logs/NIDP.2009-03-04.xml
