Identity Manager JDBC driver db files growing endlessly filling up the hard drive

Environment

Novell Identity Manager 3.5.1
Novell Identity Manager Driver - JDBC

Situation

We are currently running IDM v. 3.5.1 and a JDBC driver v. 3.5.2 on a NW 6.5 SP8, eDir 8.8.4. The driver is configured for triggered sync which is not supposed to make the jdbc*.db files (in the _NETWARE) directory grow. However,
what is happening is that those files are growing and they will not shrink on their own so eventually they get so big and it fills up the hard drive or fills up memory, locking up the server causing the driver to shut down.

Resolution

There was a problem with jdbm.jar used till 3.5.1 .  The jdbm.jar file from IDM 3.6.0 or later does not have this problem.  You can use this file with IDM 3.5.1.  Drivers from IDM 3.6.0 will work with IDM 3.5.1 and do not need new activations.  The exception to needing new activations is if you are using the Omnibond drivers (bi-directional, fan-out, scripting).  They do require new activations.
