Environment

Novell Netware 6.5 sp 6
Open Enterprise Server 1
Novell Cluster Services 1.8.3

Situation

Getting error CLUSTER-<INFO>-<211>:  WSASetService() failed, error = -1, 10009 when migrating resource to select nodes in the cluster.  As a result of this error the resource was not registering with the SLPDA.

Issuing the command "CDBE info" revealed the following:

-- Number of Records 8192
-- Number of Records used 57981

Resolution

  1. Created a new registry by downing the server and renaming c:\nwserver\servcfg.*
  2. Restarted server re-added all custom set parameters for the server
  3. Joined the server back into the cluster and migrated resources to the server.  After doing this the number of records used was below the number of records in the registry.
Once this was completed the server registered the resources with the SLPDA correctly.
