Certain users cannot manage the cluster object in iManager

Managing a cluster object in iManager 2.7 produces, the following error:

"file protocol error occurred: cannot open NCS version file on the selected object.  Software may not be loaded on the server"

Other users can manage the cluster object.

Check users password length. According to the LUM users guide this may be the issue:

A user created using Novell iManager or ConsoleOne and assigned a password that is longer than eight characters might not be able to log in.  This is because the passwd command cannot process passwords that are longer eight characters.

Change the users password to a shorter length, and they will be able to  manage the cluster object.

Enhancement request, 468045, has been submitted requesting that passwd be made to handle a longer password.
