Cannot Image HP 2133 laptops via bootcd or PXE, will not recognize the NIC

Environment

Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management with Support Pack 1 - 10.0.3 Imaging
Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2
 

 

 

Situation

Cannot image HP 2133 laptops using PXE.

The network card is not recognized.

ERROR: "no installation source found" 

Resolution

This is fixed in version 10.1.1 - see KB 7001406 "ZENworks 10 Configuration Management 10.1.1 - patch information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support
 

Additional Information

The switch acpi=off may cause the network card to load improperly. Change the switch to acpi=S5 to improve the load.
