Novell ZENworks Patch Management 6.4 - ZPM6.4 Package Deployment

Situation

Unable to create custom packages from ZPM web console | vulnerabilities page
Package editor fails immediately after specifying a package name with "unable to communicate with host update server"

Resolution

Re-register "uucode.dll" via the command line on the following two locations:
program files\commom files\patchlink and program files\patchlink\update server\
 
Detailed steps:
  1. on ZPM server open DOS prompt and cd to program files\commom files\patchlink
  2. run command "regsvr32 uucode.dll"
  3. cd to program files\patchlink\update server\
  4. run command "regsvr32 uucode.dll"
