Environment

Novell GroupWise 7 Client Support Pack 3 Hot Patch 1
Microsoft Windows XP

Situation

Copying certain URLs into GroupWise renders the pasted link with a character that is no longer part of the link.
A character in a pasted URL is not underlined.
When link, that has been pasted into GroupWise, has been clicked, it will take the user to a different page.
Links that have been clicked in GroupWise may be missing a last character at the end of the URL in the browser.

Resolution

Updated June 6th 2013 - A fix has been placed into GroupWise Windermere.  Windermere should be available Fall 2013.

Additional Information

This has been tested with Internet Explorer 7 and Fire Fox 3.

Steps to Duplicate:
  1. Users visit a page such as https://developer.novell.com/wiki/index.php/GroupWise_Web_Service_(SOAP) and copy the URL.
  2. After copying the URL to the clipboard, paste it into a new and email it to yourself.
  3. Pasting the URL into an email, GroupWise unlinks the last last parenthesis.
