Schema extension is failing on a newly created Identity Manager 3.6 server

Environment

Novell Identity Manager 3.6

Situation

When installing a fresh copy of IDM 3.6, the schema extension is failing

Resolution

Per the Novell Documentation the installation of the Metadirectory Server or the Remote Loader in what ever order is desired however the following components need to be installed in the order listed:
  1. Installing eDirectory and iManager
  2. Installing the Metadirectory Server (IDM)
  3. Installing the Remote Loader
  4. Installing the Roles Based Provisioning Module
  5. Installing a Custom Driver
  6. Installing Novell Audit or Sentinel

In this instance, the schema extension was failing due to the fact that Novell Audit was installed before IDM
