Environment
ConsoleOne 1.3.6h
Situation
Where is the GroupWise domain path and authentication information
kept on the client machine letting ConsoleOne know which
WPDOMAIN.DB file or tree should be used by default?
Determine where ConsoleOne keeps user settings and preferences.
Determine where ConsoleOne keeps user settings and preferences.
Resolution
The information is kept in a file called: SnapinPrefs.ser.
NOTE: This is a Binary file.
This exists on the client machine at the following path:
%USERPROFILE%\.consoleone
For the 'geeko' user the path above would, by default, evaluate to the following for older versions of windows:
c:\Documents and Settings\geeko\.consoleone
Newer versions may resolve the same to something more like the following:
d:\users\geeko\.consoleone
The drive letter may change depending on the system and system owner's preference.
For Linux/Unix systems the file is located in the following path (the '~' resolves to the user's home directory):
~/.consoleone
For example:
/home/geeko/.consoleone
