Environment
NSL 6.1
Citrix options selected during NSL installation
Situation
The "old" module.ini (C:\Program Files\Citrix\ICA Client\module.ini) gets modified to use VDSLSSON.DLL
Resolution
When Novell SecureLogin is installed on
workstations running ICA Client versions prior to v 10, the
module.ini file located in the “c:\Program Files\ICA Client”
directory will be modified. Depending on the options selected,
configuraiton information for vdslsson, slsso, pcprox,
secureworkstation and nmas drivers will be added to this file.
When Novell SecureLogin is installed on
workstations running ICA Client Versions v 10 or above, modifications
are made to the module.ini located in the “c:\Program Files\ICA
Client\Configuration” directory for pcprox, secureworkstation and
nmas drivers, AND modifications are made to the module.ini
“c:\Program Files\Citrix\ICA Client” for vdslsson. In
addition, registry entries will be made or modified in
HKLM\Software\Citrix\ICA Client.
The fact that the install routine
modifies the old module ini file for vdslsson is not a problem;
SecureLogin reads the configuration information for the vdslsson
driver from the registry (only).
For pcprox, secureworkstation and nmas drivers, the configuration will be found in both the registry and the module.ini file from c:\Program Files\ICA Client\Configuration. With the ICA Client Version 10 and above, SecureLogin will consume config information for pcprox, secureworkstation and nmas drivers from either the registry or from module.ini in c:\Program Files\ICA Client\Configuration.
