ZCM 10.1.0 Reporting (BOE) fails to install on a 10.1.1 or 10.1.2 server

Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management with Support Pack 1 - 10.1 Business Objects Reporting


ZCM 10.1.0 installed without Reporting installed.
ZCM 10.1.0 has been updated to 10.1.1 or 10.1.2.
ZCM 10.1.0 Reporting BOE needs to be installed after 10.1.0 has bee updated but it will not install.
"SEVERE: An error occurred during the BusinessObjects Enterprise XI installation:"


This is fixed in version 10.2 - see KB 7003225 "ZENworks Configuration Management SP2 (10.2) - update information and list of fixes" which can be found athttps://www.novell.com/support

Possible workaround:
1. If an install has been attempted, remove the failed install - (Section 3 of ZENworks Reporting Server Install PDF, www.novell.com/documentation).  If uninstalling ZENworks Reporting Services (ZRS) is not possible, do the new install on top of the incomplete / failed install. 
2. Use WinISO or similar application to copy the installation files from the .ISO to the local drive and run the install from there.
3. The Novell ZENworks Datastore and the Novell ZENworks Server services both need to be the only ZENworks Configuration Management (ZCM) services running when the new ZCM Reporting BOE is started (the later requirement is not in the ZRS Install documentation yet).  * Important - ensure appropriate rights on the install files are set for all users.
A successful install may log 'assert failure:' messages in the:
%ZENWORKS_HOME%\share\boe\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\Logging  files.  This appears to be informational messages only.
Test ZCM Reporting via ZCC web console to verify the ZRS install has been successful.
If  the new install with the files copied locally from the .ISO still fails, contact Novell Technical Support for assistance.
