Novell ZENworks 7 Desktop Management on Linux Support Pack 1 - ZDML7 SP1 PreBoot Services (PXE)Situation
Issue occurs when WSDN or LastBaseImage fields are too long.
WSDN field should allow up to 256 chars and the LastBaseImage field should allow 512.
The preboot services lock up and no other agent can PXE boot until the preboot services are restarted.
Resolution
For ZCM 10: This is fixed in version 10.2 - see KB 7003225 "ZENworks Configuration Management SP2 (10.2) - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support
For ZDM7: To obtain a hot patch with the fix for this problem, follow the instructions in KB 3484245 "Updates to Novell ZENworks 7 Desktop Management" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support
