Situation
Trying to assign or modify trustees using the File Management Plug-in for iManager 2.7
When trying to access a cluster enabled volume from a NetWare 6.0 sp5 server, iManager would return the following error message
Error: Directory Search Failure
Error -717) A Cyclical Redundancy Check (CRC) failure occurred.
This will only happen if using iManager on a server which at that moment does not have the volume mounted locally. If a user tries to access a locally mounted volume or the server is running Netware 6.5 sp7 then the problem does not occur.
When trying to access a cluster enabled volume from a NetWare 6.0 sp5 server, iManager would return the following error message
Error: Directory Search Failure

This will only happen if using iManager on a server which at that moment does not have the volume mounted locally. If a user tries to access a locally mounted volume or the server is running Netware 6.5 sp7 then the problem does not occur.
