Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management
Situation
During bootup, the pre-agent is initialised, then once it discovers
that the agent is installed it is stopped. This is an unnecessary
overhead.
Resolution
This is fixed in version 10.1.2 - see KB 7001914 "ZENworks 10
Configuration Management 10.1.2" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support
Additional Information
The Pre-agent is used to turn the device into an "advertised
device" if the agent is uninstalled, making it easier to
re-install. With this update, the service is disabled, and only
re-enabled if the agent is uninstalled.
