10.1 Policies
Situation
After upgrading to ZCM 10.1, the Group Policy is applied, even when
logging in as "workstation only"
Resolution
This is fixed in version 10.1.2 - see KB 7001914 "ZENworks 10 Configuration Management 10.1.2" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support
Additional Information
The cause of this problem is related to the change in Group Policy
handling between 10.1 and previous versions. Before 10.1, Group
Policies were "singular", i.e., only one Group Policy would apply.
From 10.1 onwards, Group Policies are "plural", so multiple
policies can be applied (see "
Understanding the Features of a Policy" in the ZENworks 10
Configuration Management Policy Management Reference. With the
upgrade, the new Policy Handler mistakenly used the old policy as
the "backup", to be applied when logging out.
