Login Script changes do not synchronize

Environment

Novell eDirectory for Linux
ConsoleOne 1.3.6e on Windows
OES Linux SP1 or greater
Novell eDirectory 8.7.3.7

Situation

Login Script changes do not synchronize

Resolution

In order to fix this problem, the following file, JNDINDS.jar  needs to be copied to the 'mach' folder under the ConsoleOne directory.

For example, if ConsoleOne is installed at:  c:\Novell\ConsoleOne\1.3.6e  then the 'mach' directory will be found at:  c:\Novell\ConsoleOne\1.3.6e\snapins\mach

It is suggested that the original JNDINDS.jar file be renamed to JNDINDS.jar.ori  before the new JNDINDS.jar is copied to this directory.  Once the new file is in place start up ConsoleOne and proceed to make your changes.

The file is targeted for delivery in the next release of ConsoleOne.   Please contact Novell support to get this revised version of JNDINDS.jar.

This issue should be fixed in ConsoleOne 1.3.6f.

Additional Information

When using ConsoleOne 1.3.6x on Windows, to make changes to an object's Login Script attribute on an OES Linux server running eDirectory 8.7.3.7, the changes update the contents of the Login Script stream file on that server, but the attribute does not get a new modification timestamp in the eDirectory database.  This lack of a new timestamp on the modified attribute prevents the changes from synchronizing to other replicas, regardless of the platform they run on.
