Environment

Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management with Support Pack 1 - 10.1 Business Objects Reporting

Situation

Error when running Business Objects / Predefined Reports / Patch Management / Mandatory Baseline Detail.
 
ERROR: "N o data to retrieve in Query 1 "

Resolution

Make at least one baseline assignment before running baseline reports.
 
The baseline reports depend on baselines having been established.  Until that is completed, the query returns no data for the report.  

Additional Information

How to create a baseline:
 
  1. Go to a ZENworks device group, click on the Vulnerabilities tab, select the patches that you want to mandate for that group.
  2. Select  “Assign to baseline ” which will turn the icon RED in color.
  3. Allow time to pass for the baseline assignments to be made (takes 3 or 4 hours)
  4. Allow time for the agents to be rescanned with a “Discover Applicable Updates ”.
  5. At that point there should be some baseline results to display in the report.
