"Error: ICE Wizard Error Error: ICE Wizard Error: Unable to connect to the requested server. Verify the name/address and port

Environment

Novell eDirectory 8.8.2 for All Platforms

Situation

1. Open iManager 2.7
2. Select eDirectory Maintenance | Import Convert Export Wizard
3. Select "File to import: and Next
4. Fill Server DNS name/IP address:  |  Port: 389  | Authenticated login
5. Next | You can see command is generated on the next page. Select Cancel.
6. On iManager menu, click "View Objects" icon
7. Navigate your tree and click a user (if it is user object, everything is
okay) the "Modify Object" popup window comes up
8.  Select OK to close the popup window
9.  On iManager menu, click "Roles and Tasks" icon
10. Select eDirectory Maintenance and Import Convert Export Wizard
11. Select "File to import: and Next
12. Fill Server DNS name/IP address: Port: 389 | Authenticated login
13. Next you can see the ICE wizard error instead of "command generating" on the next page.

"Error: ICE Wizard Error
Unable to connect to the requested server. Verify the name/address and port. "

Once this problem occurs, you must restart tomcat. Once tomcat is restarted, ice works fine.

Resolution

This has been resolved in the eDirectory 8.8.3 iManager plug-ins.
