Situation
Error: Unable to initialize JClient
when trying to login to the eDirectory Tree with iManager or Designer.
The change made prior to this error appearing was the upgrade of the Novell Client to version 1sp1

Resolution
Uninstall the Novell client and the NICI component, then remove
HKLM\Software\novell\NICI from the registry and remove
the c:\windows\system32\novell\nici directory. After a reboot install the client again.
