Environment
Linux OES2 Server
NetWare 6.5 SP7 Cluster
NetWare 6.5 SP7 Cluster
Situation
When you configure the cluster screen it asks for the LDAP server. By default it uses the replica server that you first used to put the OES 2 server into the tree. In this case that is a NW master of root. It also gives you the option to add itself as an LDAP server.
The problem is if you let it use the NW server the schema update will fail. If you select both it will still use the NW server because it uses them in order of selection and the schema update will fail. If you deselect the NW server and force it to use a Linux server (itself) the schema update is successful and the install completes.
It seems that a NW server (eDir 8.8.3) can't handle the schema update that is being sent by the Linux server.

Resolution
Use a Linux box as your LDAP server for the schema update to be successful.
