Novell iPrint for NetWare Novell NetWare 6.5 Support Pack 7 Broker
Situation
Xerox Workcentre 7232 and 7345 PPD files will not upload to the broker for either Linux or Macintosh. iManager is returning the error "NDPS Library Error Category: 1060004h. Other Error: FFFFc65h". On a NetWare server it also causes the server to either hang, which requires a hard reset, or abend.
Resolution
The PPD file does not conform to known PPD standards. The current workaround is to edit the PPD file and change the LanguageEncoding: UTF8 line to read LanguageEncoding: UTF-8. This will allow the driver to be uploaded on a Linux server.
For a NetWare server, the change to the text file is needed along with a new RMANSRVR.NLM dated October 22, 2008 or newer.
