Environment

Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management with Support Pack 1 - 10.1 Bundles

Situation

Trying to install an MSI with "Run as dynamic Administrator" fails

ERROR: "Password obtained is Incorrect for user DAU[numeric code]" in zcc.log

Resolution

This is fixed in version 10.1.1 - see KB 7001406 "ZENworks 10 Configuration Management 10.1.1" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support

Workaround
ensure that "Elevate User to Administrator" is not checked before selecting "Run as dynamic administrator"

Additional Information

The problem occurs because of a clash between the "Elevate User to Administrator" and "Run as dynamic administrator" settings - this fix ensures that "Elevate User to Administrator" is cleared if "Run as dynamic administrator" is selected
