Environment
Novell iPrint for Linux Open Enterprise Server
Novell iManager 2.7
Novell iManager 2.7
Situation
Unable to manage iPrint objects through iManager
Error trying to trust the certificate after being prompted with: "Untrusted certificate encountered while connecting to iPrint server."
Error: Certificate Manager Failure
[Root exception: java.io.IOException: Keystore was tampered with, or password was incorrect] Unable to add certificate to trusted certificate store
Resolution
Delete the cached files from /var/opt/novell/tomcat5/webapps/nps/portal/modules/iPrintX/certstore/*.*
The deleted files will be recreated the next time the user is prompted to accept and/or allow a certificate when managing an iPrint object using iManager.
Possible cause: Corruption or incorrect information

Additional Information
Note: After removing the files from the certstore directory, one reported scenario showed a follow-up error of "Internal Error A page has performed an illegal action" when attempting to manage the Print Manager object. In this scenario, the follow-up error was resolved by re-installing iManager, then restarting the server. It is speculated that an iManager re-install and server restart was not necessary, but maybe a Tomcat restart would have been sufficient. (rcnovell-tomcat5 restart)
If a Tomcat restart doesn't resolve the second error, try restarting the server. If the server restart doesn't resolve it, re-install iManager and restart the server.
