After some zenworksuninstall failures, gina is not reset

Environment

Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management with Support Pack 1 - 10.1

Situation

After some failures, zenworksuninstall may not set gina correctly.  Can't log in to Windows.

Resolution

This is fixed in version 10.1.1 - see KB 7001406 "ZENworks 10 Configuration Management 10.1.1" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support
 
Workaround:
 
If the Novell client is not installed, use safe mode to remove the registry setting:
 
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]
"GinaDLL"
