ZCM does not deploy updated agent after server is upgraded to 10.1.1

When an update is applied to ZENworks, the agent that is deployed by ZENworks is not updated to the latest version until all previously deployed devices receive the update.

Once all deployed devices receive the update or their update status is changed to "ignore", the update will become "baselined" and the agent used for deployment will be upgraded shortly thereafter. 

 

It is possible to manually upgrade the ZENworks agent for deployment prior to the system being "baselined".

 

#1) Copy all of the files from:

to: %zenworks_home%\install\downloads\msi

 

#2) Execute:"novell-zenworks-configure -c CreateExtractorPacks -Z"

 

Please be sure to examine the update PreAgentPkg_AgentComplete.exe contains the proper packages by downloading to an agent and running "PreAgentPkg_AgentComplete.exe -l".
