ndsd cores when creating thousands of forward entries during an import

ndsd cores when importing a large ldif file.  The ldif file isn't ordered, ie leaf entries come before some of the container objects.  For the problem to occur, thousands of leaf entries must meet this criteria.  Finally, ice has to be used with the forward reference option enabled.

There's no current way to work-around this issue.  The ldif has to be re-ordered.
