Error with Auto imaging tasks "Server IP not found in Task XML"

Auto deploying image bundle to managed workstation, or setting "Take image at next boot" to managed workstation with or without using rules generates error on workstation:

 

ERROR: "Server IP not found in Task XML "

 

and no image taken or restored.

In one case, the server device object showed both "null" and proper IP address in server object details.  This was due to an unresolvable/inappropriate entry for server settings:

 

 

When this value is not necessary (clients can communicate with server directly), it can be removed.  If it is necessary for proxy, for example or dns resolution, the address should be fully resolvable by forward and reverse dns lookup.

Other errors seen in zmd-messages.log showing problems with the null ip address for server:

etc.

 

While the https: requests in the zmd-messages show that it eventually tries the proper server IP address, the imaging task does not seem to.
