Dial up connection fails with SSL data transfer

Environment

Novell Apache on NetWare 2.0
Novell NetWare 6.5

Situation

User downloads a big file (15 MB) using SSL connection in dial up session. A LAN trace shows that the SSL connection is always reset from the server side.
Downloading using an unsecure connection does not show the problem.

Resolution

This is a winsock limitation, dial-up connections are too slow for large HTTP transfers over SSL.
