Novell Storage Manager (eDirectory Platform)
Situation
New volumes created in eDirectory are not showing up in NSMAdmin.
Resolution
From NSMAdmin main menu, choose Admin Dashboard, Utilities, and then Rebuild Volume List.
If the Volume List still will not update, the Volume List may have become corrupted.
If the Volume List still will not update, the Volume List may have become corrupted.
- Shut down FSFEngine
- Delete sys:factory\volcache.dat
- Re-start FSFEngine
Additional Information
Novell Storage Manager caches volume names created in eDirectory and updates this
information one time each day. If you need to update the cache you can use
the 'Rebuild volume list option in NSMAdmin.
