The GroupWise Address Book shows Duplicate eDirectory Fields in User Properties

Environment

Novell eDirectory 8.8 for All Platforms
Novell GroupWise 7

Situation

eDirectory fields duplicate in the GroupWise Address Book.

In ConsoleOne, if you populate a user's eDirectory Postal Address fields they will duplicate in the GroupWise Address Book.

In the GroupWise Address Book, under user's properties both the Office Address and Other sections will display the same eDirectory Postal Address fields.

Resolution

You could 'hide' these properties by editing the GroupWise Address Book stylesheet to exclude them.
The code for this page is loaded from the post office\ofviews\win directory in a file called "def.xsl".
You can modify this stylesheet to exclude these eDirectory attributes or to exclude the "Other" section.

FYI:  Novell does not assist or support modifying the def.xsl stylesheet.
If this is something you decide to do Novell suggests you are familiar with xml/xsl & modifying stylesheets.
It is also suggested to make a backup of the xsl file first and test before rolling it out to the post office.

A copy of the def.xsl can also be located locally in c:\novell\groupwise\ofviews\win, or the location you specified to install the GroupWise client.

Additional Information

The Bonsai Address Book user properties page has been redesigned and therefore doesn't display the duplication of the eDirectory Postal Address fields.
