Novell-named debug error "Unable to get configuration from eDirectory failed with error 25"

Novell-named was writing error messages over and over in it's /var/opt/novell/log/named/named.run file.
The pattern was this:

02-Aug-2008 18:03:31.762 general: dynamicrecon: warning: Unable to get the configuration information from eDirectory, error value : failure
02-Aug-2008 18:03:31.762 general: dynamicrecon: info: Dynamic reconfiguration completed.

This pattern continued until the server was restarted.
Restarting the server, among other things, caused novell-named and ndsd,and the xtier daemons to be restarted and the errors went away.

This is what it looks like in the /var/opt/novell/log/named/named.run file when the novell-named server shuts down.
