Environment

Novell NetWare 6.5
Novell SLP Directory Agent (SLPDA)

Situation

Error:  "TCPConnect failed: 0" in the SLP debug log
Error:  "TCPCTL_ABORTED." in the SLP debug log

Resolution

SET SLP TCP = OFF.  The default is off.  When set to on, SLP will attempt to use TCP instead of UDP, and this can fail.
